Vegetarian Festival is one of the first and foremost religious events of the year. The festival aims to encourage people to keep up a high moral standard of good deeds in their actions, words, and thoughts, as well as to go meatless for their meals. To celebrate this year’s festival, the team of Hong Kong chefs at Hong Kong Fisherman, an authentic Hong Kong-style Chinese restaurant at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, have created a variety of Hong Kong-style vegetarian dishes to provide customers with an exceptional vegetarian experience while retaining the original Hong Kong flavor. The cooking process is meticulously monitored at every step, from selecting the flour imported from Hong Kong as the main raw material, to carefully picking the freshest and finest quality vegetables. There are 11 Hong Kong style a-la-carte vegetarian options available, starting at 200 baht only.

The first dish, Deep Fried Mixed Vegetables Spring Rolls, is made with special spring roll pastry, stuffed with a delicious vegetable filling. Next, try the Deep-Fried Mashed Taro with Mixed Vegetables, which is crispy on the outside and chewy inside, with stuffed colorful vegetables. Other can’t-miss dishes are Corn Soup with Black Mushroom and Enoki Mushroom, a slurpy hot soup which is rich in flavor and good for health, Bamboo Pith with Hong Kong Kale in Vegetarian Sauce, perfectly blanched and served with lightly flavored sauce, Stir-Fried Veggie Chicken with Five Nuts in Honey Sauce, loaded with vegetarian chicken, ginkgo nuts, jujube, sweet peppers, cashew nuts, and shiitake mushrooms, and Fried Bean Curd Skin and Black Mushroom in Vegetarian Sauce made with dough that has been kneaded for 6 hours before frying and then the chef stirs in the vegetarian sauce with tofu, shiitake mushrooms and broccoli. There are many more delicious dishes that shouldn't be missed: Deep Fried Bean Curd with Three Flavor Sauce, Deep Fried Veggie Seaweed Fish in "Sichuan Sauce", and Vegetable Tempura, a unique flavor of crispy tempura consisting of taro, pumpkin, and carrots, served with wasabi dipping sauce. And if you're not full yet, go for the Fried Rice with Veggie Chicken and finish the vegan lovers’ meal with Stir-Fried Long Life Noodles with Veggie BBQ Pork.

What’s more, there are 9 varieties of vegetarian dim sum made fresh daily, starting at only 90 baht. They are Steamed Veggie Prawn Dumplings, Vegetarian BBQ Pork Bun, Pan Fried Vegetarian Bun, Steamed Mixed Vegetables Dumplings, Mixed Vegetables in Rice Flour Roll, Deep Fried Spring Rolls with Veggie Chicken, Pan Fried Vegetarian Turnip Cake, Deep Fried Water Chestnut Cake, and the must-try Deep Fried Dumpling with Veggie Chicken "Ham Sui Gok" (steamed sticky rice with fried chicken), made from sticky rice flour which is baked and stuffed with vegan chicken. It is crispy and has a fragrant, soft, and sweet flavor.
