IMPACT is sold out for the weekend and a traffic management plan is prepared

(March 2014) IMPACT has prepared a traffic management plan to facilitate smooth traffic to the sold-out venue during the weekend. A number of events being held at IMPACT this weekend include Bangkok International Motor Show, Print Tech Asia, Five-in-One expo, Disney on Ice, and Triam Udom Suksa School’s entrance examination with more than 12,000 applicants. These events are expected to draw more than 100,000 visitors. To make sure everything goes smoothly, IMPACT has set up a traffic facilitation center to help ease traffic flow around Muang Thong Thani as well as a hotline to provide traffic condition information on a 24-hour basis.   


According to Miss Jintana Phongpakdee, Corporate Communications Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., which manages and operates IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, IMPACT has been selected as the venue for Triam Udom Suksa School’s entrance examination with more than 12,000 applicants. The exam will take place on March 30 at IMPACT Forum Hall 9 and IMPACT Exhibition Hall 5-8.   

Other events to be held during the same period include the 35th Bangkok International Motor Show at IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-3 and IMPACT Lakeside, the Five-in-One expo which comprises Thai Franchise & SME Expo 2014, Thailand Bakery & Ice Cream 2014, Thailand Coffee Tea & Drink 2014, Travel Thailand Travel World 2014 and Thailand Bike & Vehicle 2014 at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 1-2, the 2nd Print Tech Asia 2014 at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 3-4 and Disney on Ice at IMPACT Arena. IMPACT expects to welcome over 100,000 visitors flocking to these events.

To ensure safety and convenience of students and their parents as well as visitors to IMPACT-held events IMPACT has prepared a traffic management plan as well as coordinating with public buses, mini buses and vans, ten taxi companies with bunch of over 50,000 taxis, and IMPACT Link shuttle buses to transport visitors to the venue. Additionally, the center’s gate will be open at 5am to allow the parents of those children who are going to take Triam Udom Suksa School’s entrance exam to park their cars. 

IMPACT has also allocated some staff to help facilitate smooth access to the premises’ two indoor and five outdoor parking areas that can accommodate up to 15,000 vehicles. Those who come to Triam Udom Suksa School’s entrance examination are allowed to park their vehicles at P4 parking area behind the loading area of Hall 5-8 which is the closest spot to the exam venue. They can also park along the lakes (Lake 1-2) where shuttle buses are waiting to give them a ride to the exam venue. Meanwhile, public transport choices are available within the compound including taxies at Novotel Bangkok IMPACT and IMPACT Challenger as well as vans at Gate 1 of IMPACT Forum and Aktiv Square.

Additionally, IMPACT will coordinate with local traffic police officers and set up a traffic team to report traffic conditions from time to time via radio such as Jor Sor 100 and Sor Wor Por 91 as well as social media such as Pantip.com, Twitter, Facebook and IMPACT Venue mobile application. The 24-hopur hotline 0-2833-4455 is also set up to handle inquires about traffic conditions and directions to and from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani as well as complaints about over-priced public transport fare. In addition to that, maps, directions and shortcuts to and from IMPACT as well as information about public transportation are also available online at www.impact.co.th.
