IMPACT ready to facilitate 35,000 people flocking to G16 concert with 13 parking areas

(May 2014) IMPACT is ready to welcome the audience of Genie Fest…16 Years of Rock or G16 concert on May 10, 2014 at IMPACT Lakeside. To facilitate a large crowd of 35,000 people expected to attend the concert, IMPACT has prepared 13 parking areas to accommodate up to 15,000 vehicles as well as coordinating with public transportation and taxi services and allocating 100 staff to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Miss Jintana Phongpakdee, Corporate Communications Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., which manages and operates IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, said “Genie Fest…16 Years of Rock or G16 concert on May 10, 2014 at IMPACT Lakeside will feature Thailand’s rock stars such as Big Ass, Bodyslam, Cocktail, Instinct, KALA, Klear, No More Tear, Paradox, Pang Nakarin, Retrospect, Sweet Mulle and The Mousses, and is expected to be attended by over 35,000 people.”

There will be another three major events on the same day, including Money Expo 2014, The Biggest Fair 2014 and Super Care & Import Car Show at Hall 1-8, with an estimated 100,000 visitors.   

To ensure convenience of all visitors to IMPACT-held events, 13 parking areas, both inside and outside the center, have been prepared with the capacity to accommodate up to 15,000 vehicles. Parking areas within the center that include Indoor Parking 1 & 2, Outdoor Parking 4, 5 & 6, AKTIV Square and Lakeside 3 can accommodate approximately 10,000 vehicles. Meanwhile, another 5,000 vehicles can be parked outside the premises at Lakeside 4, Central Investigation Bureau, Global House (payment required), Bee Hive lifestyle mall, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University and SCG Stadium.

Moreover, IMPACT has assigned 100 additional staff to facilitate the traffic as well as asking for cooperation from providers and operators of public transport vehicles including buses, mini buses, vans, and taxis as well as IMPACT Link shuttle buses to transport visitors to the venue. Coaches and golf carts will also be available for visitors to take a ride from parking areas to the concert venue.

IMPACT will also coordinate with local traffic police officers and set up a team to report traffic conditions from time to time via radio such as Jor Sor 100 and Sor Wor Por 91 as well as social media such as Pantip.com, Twitter, Facebook and IMPACT Venue. The 24-hopur hotline 0-2833-4455 is also set up to handle inquires about traffic conditions and directions to and from IMPACT Muang Thong Thani as well as complaints about over-priced public transport fare.

In addition to that, maps, directions and shortcuts to and from IMPACT as well as information about public transportation are also available online at www.impact.co.th to provide visitors the greatest convenience possible.
