IMPACT spearheads promotion of CONTECH 2015 ahead of ASEAN integration

Published : 2015-02-19

Leading exhibition organizer IMPACT predicts CONSTECH 2015 will be the biggest yet, as it prepares to host the industry’s leading show from 27-29 March. Showcasing construction industry’s latest innovations and state-of-the-art technology, the organizer expects to attract a wide range of partners from neighboring countries. In association with the Thailand Concrete Association, IMPACT will incorporate a special space to feature Concrete Technology at the event, and revealed an expected jump in overall revenue, as interest in the industry spikes to an all-time high. The event is scheduled to be held during 27 - 29 March 2015 at Hall 7 – 8, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.

Commenting on the anticipated success of the event, Miss Pornphan Bulner, Director of IMPACT Exhibition Organizer, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. revealed: “With full implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community this year, now is the perfect time for all stakeholders to consider cross-border collaboration. In this environment, after being appointed by the Thai Contractors Association under His Majesty the King’s Patronage (TCA) to manage the CONSTECH 2015 exhibition, IMPACT conducted road shows to promote the events across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Vietnam, China, and Myanmar. Entrepreneurs, dealers, importers, and enthusiasts both from Thailand and overseas have confirmed their attendance at what will be the biggest event of the year for the industry.

“CONSTECH 2015 will be a complete showcase of world-class machinery, equipment, and technology for the construction and mining industries. This will be a not-to-be-missed opportunity for entrepreneurs, property owners, engineers, and innovations enthusiasts to experience new technology that will benefit their business development and cost management, and help them deal with significant issues currently facing the industry, such as workforce shortage. Alongside the exhibition, there will be international seminars about the world’s most pressing construction issues, with up-to-the-minute insights from the sector’s leading thinkers. Over 20,000 sqm. of indoor and outdoor space has been dedicated to the exhibitions.

“We are so glad to see that a wide range of international exhibitors have embraced the opportunity, featuring in pavilions including the German Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion, and Chinese Pavilion, plus displays by a number of the world’s leading brands such as Hitachi backhoes and Putzmeister, Zoomlion, Everdigm concrete pumpers, and many more.”

This year, the event will include an additional zone – the Concrete Feature Zone – where the most comprehensive range of concrete products and technology will be displayed. In addition, there will be a seminar on “Techniques for Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance” by Thailand Concrete Association. The seminar will see participation of distinguished guest speakers including Associate Professor Dr.Pichai Nimityongskul from Thailand Concrete Association and Dr.Sun Sayamipuk from SN Engineering Co., Ltd. Moreover, Mr.Aekkarin Luangwilai from the Expressway Authority of Thailand will discuss the maintenance of viaducts and bridge structures, while Dr.Thanasak Wongthanacharoen of the Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport will share the latest cutting-edge thinking about concrete quality control for mega projects. Leading concrete companies like CPAC and others will also attend the seminar.

The Technology Showcase Zone is another highlight. This is a space for some entrepreneurs to reveal new technologies for the very first time, with many never having been showcased anywhere in the world.

The event will take place in conjunction with the election of the president and committee of the Thai Contractors Association under His Majesty the King’s Patronage (TCA) to refresh the outgoing team, whose term ends in March 2015. The new president and committee will be then introduced to entrepreneurs and professionals in the industry at the same time as the association’s policy announcement.

As the industry’s leading and most dynamic show, CONSTECH 2015 is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors from Thailand and neighboring countries. IMPACT has spearheaded a fresh approach to ensuring the event’s success through promotion via road shows in Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Recently, the Cambodia Contractor’s Association invited IMPACT to promote CONSTECH in Cambodia as well.
