Bangkok, Thailand: The Asia Pacific (APAC) region prepares to welcome the regional and international healthcare and medical laboratory community for the launch of Medlab Asia & Asia Health - International trade exhibition and congress on medical laboratory and healthcare - from 10-12 June 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The recently announced strategic partnership with IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., organisers of Medical Devices ASEAN (MDA), and Informa Markets, the world’s leading exhibition organiser, will drive the event to become a catalyst for growth in the regional healthcare and laboratory industries.

Taking place at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Medlab Asia & Asia Health will welcome 6,800+ attendees and more than 400 exhibitors who will come together to showcase innovation, promote knowledge sharing, and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.

With Southeast Asia’s healthcare industry valued at USD 71 billion with a CAGR of 15 per cent. A progressive economy, a large geriatric population base, availability of skilled labour at economical costs, and the high prevalence of chronic diseases are the major factors augmenting the growth of the industry in the APAC region. Similarly, with the growing demand for proper diagnostics and rapidly improving healthcare infrastructure in the emerging markets, the APAC clinical laboratory services market is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 5 per cent and reach USD 53,044 million by 2023.

According to Tom Coleman, Group Exhibition Director, MEDLAB Series: “The partnership agreement between Informa Markets and IMPACT to form Medlab Asia & Asia Health creates a one-stop-shop destination for Southeast Asia’s healthcare industry to come together to capitalise on the growth of this market in 2020. With the addition of new exhibitors and an enhanced selection of product categories than ever before, the event is the ultimate platform to showcase the increasing demand for healthcare products and services in the region.”

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Loy Joon How, General Manager, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., said: “The strong synergy between Medlab Asia & Asia Health and MDA, coupled with IMPACT’s local expertise and Informa Markets’ international standing in the medical industry, will enable us to contribute to the region’s efforts in reaching its healthcare goals.”

The 2020 edition of Medlab Asia & Asia Health will feature an extensive hosted buyer programme connecting exhibitors with key decision-makers from more than 13 countries including ASEAN countries, Australia, China, and Japan. A one-to-one matchmaking tool designed to facilitate productive face-to-face meetings with potential buyers and generate more sales for attendees will also bolster the networking opportunities at the event.

Supported by various local and international medical associations, this year’s multi-disciplinary CME-accredited congress will consist of 16 conferences and seminars that aim to build globally recognised practices and standards for advanced healthcare and laboratory services.

Medlab Asia will feature a number of core pathology tracks for laboratory professionals such as clinical chemistry, molecular diagnostics and laboratory management. Meanwhile, Asia Health will host clinical conferences for physicians and healthcare professionals including imaging & diagnostics, nursing, and sterilisation & decontamination, as well as business conference on hospital management, procurement and medical devices, opening doors to a new segment altogether. Asia Health will also offer a Biotech Forum as a platform for the industry to learn more about revolutionary discoveries in medical care in the Asia Pacific region.

“The 2020 edition of the congress is gearing up to be more exciting than ever before with rich educational content carefully crafted in partnership with our esteemed scientific committee and partner associations. Following on from the success during last year’s congress, we will be reintroducing roundtables discussions to the educational mix connecting the full spectrum of the medical laboratory and healthcare industry under one informative platform,” Coleman added.

Medlab Asia & Asia Health is the ultimate platform to explore the latest innovations in the industry as well as learn from key industry leaders on how to resolve challenges and optimise their output with these solutions.
