IMPACT Invests 7 Million Baht to Upgrade the Security System within the Venue

(May 2012) IMPACT continuously operates under the TIS 22300; Security Management System for Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition (MICE) to gain more trusts from domestic and international exhibitors and visitors. With expected numbers of 300,000 visitors in May to visit Thailand’s Paradise Fair, 3rd Super Car and Import Car Show, Money Expo 2012 and THAIFEX World of Food Asia 2012, IMPACT invests over 7 million baht to improve its security systems by installing light fixtures as well as adding 512 more CCTV cameras and CCTV control room at the venue in order to monitor the areas, reduce fear of crime, secure a safer environment, and detect or prevent crimes at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.

Mr.Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the owner of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Centre or IMPACT Muang Thong Thani added that after the biggest convention with over 35,000 participants from 160 countries, the 2012 Rotary International Convention ended successfully, IMPACT would like to express gratitude for every organization and both public and private sector that helped in providing convenience and high security to offer public reassurance at the venue. The international convention, in turn, perfectly finished with no major problems or difficulties.

Though the 2012 Rotary International Convention ended, IMPACT still maintains its commitment to continuously develop and improve its security management in accordance to TIS 22300; Security Management System for Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition (MICE) since 2009. In order to strengthen the security system, Facility Management department is in charge of improving in 7 million baht to install light fixtures, add 512 more CCTV cameras and CCTV control room at the venue for reducing, securing, and preventing crimes at the area.

To welcome expected 300,000 visitors in May that come visiting Thailand’s Paradise Fair, 3rd Super Car and Import Car Show during May 12-20, 2012 at hall 1-8, IMPACT Exhibition Center, Money Expo 2012 during May 17-20, 2012 and THAIFEX World of Food Asia 2012 during May 23-27, 2012, IMPACT guarantees all exhibitors and visitors of safety matters.

Mr. Lek Termtrakool, Director of Facility Management of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. revealed about details of the CCTV control room that it is a management policy to make IMPACT be the safest exhibition and convention venue. As Facility management department is in charge of safety, the department suggests to move CCTV control rooms from each building to be in one center room at 9th floor, Bangkok Land Building to monitor the venue effectively and activities in and around it to provide safer environment.

By employing more 50 CCTV cameras, IMPACT now has in total of 512 CCTV cameras placed throughout active public areas and its facilities with the aim to not only prevent criminal activities or reduce crimes, but also situations that could possibly happen caught on video in relation to TIS TIS 22300; Security Management System for Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition (MICE).
