IMPACT Chefs Won HRH Princess Sirindhorn Cup at Culinary Competition

IMPACT’s chefs have won the championship title at the Thailand International Culinary Cup 2012. The team garnered the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Cup from its achievement of the Overall Best Establishment Award together with a Winner trophy for the highest score in Modern Thai Cuisine and 21 medals in total.

Chef Jeremy Lim Boon Seng, Executive Chef of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., revealed that this success enhances IMPACT’s leadership in the country’s catering services, adding on to the achievement of IMPACT’s kitchen which has been certified with the ISO22000 or the Food Safety Management System.

According to Chef Lim, among the 500 professional chefs from Thailand and Asia who joined the International Culinary Cup 2012, the IMPACT team earned the highest score to win the Overall Best Establishment Award from the competition. It is the second championship title the IMPACT culinary team has won within the last three years.

The team also had the highest score in Modern Thai Cuisine and earned 21 medals in other categories. They included 2 gold medals in Free Style Ice Caving (individual and team) with 6 Silver and 13 Bronze medals in the categories of Free Style Pastry Showpiece Display, Meat Free Style Cooking, Fruit & Vegetable Carving, East Meet West Free Style Cooking, and Poultry Free Style Cooking.

Chef Lim said, “Joining competitions helps the team to strengthen their skills. It is also a great opportunity to explore new trends and techniques and more importantly to demonstrate their creativity.
