IMPACT has been investing greatly in the expansion and enhancement of the facility and will be spending more dollars on forthcoming mega projects to supercharge the company’s capacities.
As the company is working on various projects, first opening its door will be a two billion theme park sitting along the shore of the lake. The theme park which is suitable for everyone will be gathering point for the family to share a great moment together. Business travelers bringing children on board attending a conference can leave their kids at the theme park hanging out while they are in a meeting. More likely than not, the family would end up staying longer shopping and playing golf, and that is exactly what we are looking for. Also, we have consulted with Sanderson Group, an Australian thematic design and construction company who stood behind the success of Disney Seas in Tokyo and Universal Studios Singapore, about the joint venture, yet both parties haven’t reached a conclusion. Let’s assume that the agreement is finalized, we should be able to see the water park by late 2017 or early 2018.
Paul Kanjanapas, managing director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, has mentioned about his desire to have a marina which caters services to yachtsmen looking to lease out a space for mooring a boat when it is not in use. This will include a variety of amenities such as a movie theater, restaurants, shops and stores on site as well as the transformation of the Eastin Lakeside Hotel, which Mr. Paul has recently purchased from his family and sets aside 550 million THB for a total renovation to turn this historic hotel into a five star hotel as he has longed to be an owner of a luxury hotel. Muang Thong Thani is the perfect place to unveil this concept.
Nearing its completion is the ibis hotel, a brand new 587-room, a substantial addition to the Novotel IMPACT Bangkok scheduled to be completed this year. Mr. Paul also plans to put more hotels in the venue in case the Novotel Bangkok IMPACT and ibis are completely booked up.
Other soon-to-be-open projects entail the five-storey retail building with shops and restaurants on an area of 8,000 sq. meters and 12 badminton courts and a swimming pool at IMPACT Sports Complex.
It is truly a win-win scenario for both sides. Visitors get full services, while the company can rev up occupancy rate.
