The world’s premier medical device exhibition is slated to open its door to display an abundance of cutting edge lab products, equipment, devices, and services at the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, on July 11-13, 2018. Medical device companies, international medical experts, suppliers, researchers, clinicians, and industry-related professionals will be converging during the inaugural MDA 2018 to garner new business contacts and networks, source new market for their companies, get their hands on the latest innovations and advancements, interconnect with key players face-to-face, and explore new products and services.
With Southeast Asia being an emerging market for the medical industry, Thailand has become the preferred host destination for all medical-related and medical device expositions. In 2015, imports of medical device increased 10.8% and exports of medical device increased 8.5%, reflecting the stable progress in Thailand’s healthcare sector. Some of the main factors driving the growth of this market include an increase in medical tourists, the improvement of the living standards in Thailand, and the government’s efforts to secure Thailand’s status as a global medical destination.
“IMPACT is fully committed to creating the most comprehensive platform for medical devices, technologies, services and general healthcare industries, under the theme of “Building the Future of Healthcare”. A series of academic conferences through the MDA Congress, delivering Continuing Medical Education (CME), a compulsory educational course for practicing healthcare professionals conducted by the Radiological Society of Thailand; the Association of Medical Technologists of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali; and the Nurses’ Association of Thailand Under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Princess Mother, are in the works, along with other seminars from industry experts, including the Ministry of Public Health, Thai Association for Medical Instrumentation and Thai Medical Device Technology Industry Association for healthcare professionals,” says Loy Joon How, general manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd.
