IMPACT is primed to provide education in the MICE industry

Thailand has long been a revered destination for meetings, conventions, exhibitions, as well as leisure travel. According to the Tourism Ministry, tourist arrival, which is a key driver of growth, totaled 38.27 million in 2018 with Chinese travelers being the number one source of visitors to Thailand. The Thai MICE sector still has more room to thrive and looks for more enthusiastic young professionals to join the team.

The MICE industry is a potent business sector that generates billions in revenue, contributes to economic growth, and creates millions of jobs; therefore, as a proactive MICE operator, we will do our best to push Thailand’s business events forward, promote the exhibition industry in the global MICE market, as well as help the industry overcome challenges with respect to a shortage of experienced staffs via knowledge and expertise we’re equipped with plus over two decades of experience.

The Human Resources Department of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd has collaborated with 3 renowned universities in Thailand to spearhead a certificate course aka “Kla MICE,” which means “the new kid on the block” in Thai. The Faculty of Management Science of Silpakorn University has become the first participants that sent upwards of 40 sophomores to train and gain hands-on experience at our venue. The course offers a unique opportunity for students to connect with and learn from industry leaders from inside and outside the industry. These college students have spent time working in multiple departments including Operations, Exhibition Project, Sales Department, Food and Beverage Department, and Corporate Communications where they were given an opportunity to take part in numerous projects supervised by senior executives and managers.

We do make sure that students get all the best possible experience while completing their internship here. In addition, the interns gain significant advantages that will outshine over other candidates.

Coming up next will be Kasetsart University and Sripatum University to have their students complete the Kla MICE course here.

Our company, especially our initiator, the Human Resources Department, believes students will acquire real-world experience operating the number one MICE venue in Thailand as well as take away more than what they ever expect from the learning-by-doing method we provide.
