The Origin of the Name "Tsubohachi": "Tsubo" (つぼ) is a traditional Japanese unit of measurement equivalent to one tatami mat, and "Hachi" (八) means the number 8. Combining these, "Tsubohachi" signifies "8 tatami mats," which was the size of the original restaurant, becoming a unique symbol of the brand.
