Death Fest 2026 is a fair that boldly invites Thai society to engage in open and honest conversations about “dying well.” The event explores essential dimensions of life and death, including health, caregiving, financial planning, beliefs, and, most importantly, relationships.

This year’s theme, “re-member” encourages individuals and families to prepare for and thoughtfully manage life’s most significant matters together among family members, partners, friends, and loved ones.

The event is organized by Peaceful Death, The Cloud, and Choojai & Friends, in collaboration with Thai Health, Department of Medical Services, Thai Red Cross Society and Suan Mokkh Bangkok.

Death Fest 2026 is designed for everyone. Beyond academic panel discussions, the festival encompasses diverse experiences related to life and relationships. Highlights include the Before I Die exhibition, inviting participants to reflect on and resolve unfinished matters; the Human Life-brary, where visitors can engage in meaningful conversations with individuals from diverse backgrounds; and dedicated dialogue circles for caregivers, singles, LGBTQIA+ communities, older adults, and even pet owners.

A workshop offers practical tools and safe spaces for reflection and preparation. Topics range from Death Cleaning and end-of-life communication to designing one’s own funeral on a sand tray, as well as practicing conversations about death with loved ones. These activities encourage participants to think, speak, and make decisions in a supportive environment before facing real-life situations.

The event also features the Life Journey Zone, a comprehensive space presenting services and knowledge related to every stage of life from aging and serious illness to end-of-life care and achieving a “good death.” This zone aims to help participants see the entirety of life’s journey, not merely its final chapter.
