“Thonglor Thai Cuisine” pampers durian lovers with the return of “Thonglor Durian Festival” from 23 May to 31 July 2023

“Thonglor Thai Cuisine”, a Thai restaurant that offers traditional Thai dishes and local specialties created by a new generation of Thai chefs, pampers all durian lovers with the return of “Thonglor Durian Festival”. This time, the head chef Titirat Pachjaraen, aka Chef Nuk, proudly presents four delectable dishes made with fine-quality Monthong durians from Wang Nam Khiao district of Nakhon Ratchasima province that have unique aroma, taste, and texture, which are perfect for both savory and sweet dishes. Besides its distinctive characteristics, durian is also rich in vitamins. The durian creations are available from 23 May - 31 July 2023, with prices ranging from 225++ - 985++ baht.

The four durian dishes featured in “Thonglor Durian Festival” include the signature “Spicy and Sour Yellow Curry with Serrated Mud Crab and Durian” (985++baht), a perfect combination of durian, homemade curry paste containing various Thai herbs and spices that help prevent the flu, clear a stuffy nose and increase appetite, and serrated mud crab from Bang Tabun sub-district of Phetchaburi province, “Beef Massaman Curry with Durian” (675++baht) using unripe durian instead of potato and premium beef simmered in coconut milk for a tender texture and pleasant aroma, which goes will with cucumber relish and roti, “Chicken Massaman Curry with Durian” (575++baht), an alternative choice for non-beef eaters accompanied by cucumber relish and roti, and “Thai Durian Dumpling in Coconut Milk” (225++baht), durian pulp mixed with glutinous rice flour, rolled into small balls and cooked in creamy coconut milk with palm sugar for the perfect salty-sweet taste.
