IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. together with Thailand Facility Management Association (TFMA) is set to organize ‘Thailand Facility Management Industry Forum’ at S31 Sukhumvit Hotel to be significant platform to bring together all leading facility management professionals in Thailand to discuss on Thailand facility management outlook and to announce its readiness to host ‘BMAM Expo Asia 2015’ to showcase the latest technology in facility management in energy, space, operation and maintenance and labor. It is expected that more than 10,000 local and international trade visitors will attend this exhibition which will be scheduled from September 16-18, 2015 at Hall 6, IMPACT Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani.

During this Thailand Facility Management Industry Forum, some facility management professionals led by Siam Piwat Co., Ltd, Property Care Services (Thailand) Ltd, ISS Facility Services Co., Ltd, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, True Property Co., Ltd and the representatives from Thailand Facility Management Association will take part in a panel discussion to exchange their knowledge and outlook on the hot topics which will be consistent with the demand of entrepreneurs in the year 2015, focusing on potentially developing a range of new technologies, products and services to be more efficient and to find out the best possible solution to save energy, expenses, space and labor in the buildings and factories which willprovide benefits for the trends and directions of facility managementindustry in Thailand. The complete range ofemerging technologies will be gathered from both local and international entrepreneurs to showcase in BMAM Expo Asia 2015 which will be organized for the 8th consecutive year in Thailand.

Mr. Ajinveat Vhongthong, Project Manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., the organizer of BMAM Expo Asia 2015 revealed that “Thailand is ready to be an industrial hub of various industries in ASEAN, particularly in facility managementas Thailand is the top ASEAN country that has a high volume of high-rise buildings and factories. At the present, there are over 10,000 buildings, comprising a total area of over 1,000 square meters as well as more than 140,000 factories and 50 industrial estates nationwide. In addition, Thailand has a plan to develop transportation such as the skytrain, public road, etc. which result in the increased number of buildings and factories. IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, as the organizer of BMAM Expo Asia 2015, is aware of these significant facts and will immediately organize the primary activities to develop the potential of Thailand facility management to accommodate the expansion of national economy. And this is the main objectiveto organize BMAM Expo Asia 2015.”

Mr. AyuthapornBuranakul, President of Thailand Facility Management Association said “Therobust demand for facility management (FM) in Thai labor market far exceeds supply. The education sector can produce only 25 staff with Master’s degree per year and no more than 100 staff with Bachelor’s degree which are insufficient for the real estate market with the annual debut of 300-400 large building projects. The significance of facility management is not only about building maintenance to be in a ready-to-use condition, but also include the effective facility management in energy, expenses and convenience, first and foremost, managing and ensuring safety of lives and properties of building users.”

Prof. Dr. ChaiwatRirattanapong, Lecturer from Department of Innovation in Real Estate Development, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University said “Today, the demand for office for rent is increasing which results in the higher rental rate. This information is consistent with the anticipation by the United Nations, which states that more than 70 percent of population around the world will live in urban areas by the year 2050, resulting in the increase in the Global GDP which is over 90 percent. Nevertheless, the findings from various sources demonstrate the tendency of employee behavior which has been changed to high flexibility and there is no need to have a regular space in the office. Management of office space for the efficient use is so important in reducing costs and helps promote productivity at work.”

‘BMAM Expo Asia 2015’ is the 8th International Exhibition and Conference on building maintenance and facility management in Asia. This year, the organizer emphasizes on ‘Leading to Efficiency Toward Emerging Technologies’ including energy management, facilities planning, facilities operation and maintenance and labor efficiency, plus a numerous academic meetings in ‘BMAM Expo Asia 2015’ which will be held from September 16-18, 2015 at Hall 6, IMPACT Exhibition Center, Muang Thong Thani. ABOUT THE CO-ORGANIZER:
Thailand Facility Management Association (TFMA) was founded from the cooperation of a group of Thai people who recognizes the importance of facility management profession and desires to develop this field of education in Thailand, comprising professionals from different industries including architecture, engineering and real estate management. The idea to get together initially started in the year 1997 when the economic situation in Thailand was in crisis. However, these ideology fellows,at that time, still had lessmaturity, experience and reputation. Some of them were working in foreign countries.Hence, it was only become an unpractical concept. Until the year 2006, the Facility Management course was available for graduate students at Sripathum University Phayathai Campus established by the same group of people, regarded as Thailand’sfirst official gathering of facility management professionals in education. This gathering brought about the demand for setting up an organization as a center of professionsonceagain; therefore, TFMA was finally formed.
