IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd partners with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand to achieve carbon neutral society

IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand have founded themselves having the same ambitious goals toward a carbon free society that will create a positive environmental impact while raising public awareness. By installing 13 EV charging stations in the center, IMPACT will be able to enhance customer satisfaction and offer convenient necessity for customers, visitors, and local residents making Nonthaburi the most convenient city for EV charging stations.

Paul Kanjanapas, chief executive officer of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, said “a large number of countries have been taking serious actions on making the world greener due to global warming and climate change.”

While carbon-dioxide emissions are by far one of the largest contributors to global climate change, road vehicles account for the largest part. The Thai government is hence gearing the country toward a low-carbon society, and part of its carbon-free society efforts centers on the transition to electric vehicles. By 2030, most or at least 30% of all new vehicles sold in Thailand should be electric.

A push for electric vehicles can largely influence consumer purchasing decisions since the government offers duty reduction privileges for CBU BEVs imported for market trial, excise tax reduction, and excise tax subsidy to EV buyers in addition to encouraging EV development, e.g., the installation of EV charging stations, new EV initiatives, and registrations.

He continued, “By singing an MOU with EGAT on October 31, 2022 and having 13 “Elex by EGAT” charging stations throughout the center and the most “EleX by EGAT” stations in Nonthanburi,” we will be able to accommodate an uptick in visits from local, regional, and worldwide visitors, which totals approximately 10 million visitors per year. Currently, we have 9 stations at Challenger hall 1 and 4 stations at Novotel Bangkok IMPACT, which delivers 60-125 kW, and we look forward to more stations in the not-so-distant future.
