ibis Bangkok IMPACT now officially open

The new 3-star, 587-room ibis Bangkok IMPACT, developed at a cost of 1 billion baht and managed by AccorHotels Group, is now officially open for business. The new hotel will meet the growing demand for budget-friendly accommodation surrounding IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. To celebrate its opening, the hotel is offering special rates starting at 799++ baht per room per night from now until April 30, 2017. So far, 70% of the hotel rooms were booked by government agencies and private companies.
According to Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Bangkok Land Public Company Limited and the operator of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, IMPACT is continuously investing in new facilities to meet the growing demand of both local and international exhibitors and visitors as the MICE sector grows at an average of 5-7% per year while being committed to continually improving service standards to deliver perfection to every event and offer a comprehensive range of leisure activities. Its newest hotel, the 3-star, 587-room ibis Bangkok IMPACT developed at a cost of 1 billion baht with construction started on June 1, 2015, is now complete and officially open for business under professional management of AccorHotels Group.
ibis Bangkok IMPACT perfectly complements the 4-star, 380-room Novotel Bangkok IMPACT, which has been operated since 2011 and become a preferred hotel for international MICE travelers with an average occupancy rate of 60-70% and up to 90% during large-scale international events. With the new ibis hotel, IMPACT is now the only exhibition and convention center in Thailand that offers both 3-star and 4-star hotels with a total of 1,000 rooms to accommodate customers at all levels including those seeking comfortable and conveniently-located budget accommodation.
Fraser McKenzie, General Manager of ibis Bangkok IMPACT, added that the opening of ibis Bangkok IMPACT further enhances the reputation of IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center as one of the best meeting and events venue in Thailand and the MICE hub of ASEAN with diverse accommodation options. ibis Bangkok IMPACT is a 45-minute drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 15-minute drive from Don Mueang International Airport via expressway.
ibis Bangkok IMPACT is AccorHotels’ premium economy hotel brand. The 18-story hotel has an inviting look with red and blue touches and features 574 standard rooms and 13 handicapped-friendly rooms, with an average of 40 rooms per floor. Each room is equipped with a 32-inch flat-screen LED TVs, an in-room safe and tea & coffee facilities. The hotel also offers free WIFI access, a lobby bar where guests can enjoy their favorite drinks or snacks, a 500-seat dining room serving breakfast, and spacious reception area that can accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
