IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd, the Department of Intellectual Property, and the Thai Chamber of Commerce join forces to propel premium geographical identification (GI) products forward, catalyzing economic momentum in Thailand’s agricultural sector.

Mrs. Auramon Supthaweethum, Director General of the Department of Intellectual Property, said, “Our GI products are of exceptional quality, meticulously crafted by local artisans. Thailand is advancing the promotion of its GI products on both local and global stages, with a strong focus on strengthening the economy at a fundamental level. This strategic collaboration highlights the nation’s capacity to compete internationally, expand market access for producers and buyers, and foster long-term sustainable economic growth.”

Dr. Phot Aramwattananon, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, stated that this collaboration reflects the integration of public and private sector strengths to drive the Thai economy under the concept “Unlocking New Growth.” The initiative aims to strengthen Thai entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which serve as a key driver of the economic system.

This cooperation also connects to the enhancement of domestic trade exhibitions to expand opportunities for trade, investment, and international business networking, ultimately strengthening economic confidence and improving Thailand’s long-term competitiveness.

“The collaboration not only creates market access for GI products but also serves as an important foundation for expanding the grassroots economy and supporting the sustainable and stable future growth of Thailand’s business sector.”

Paul Kanjanapas, Chief Executive Officer of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., stated that Geographical Indication (GI) products not only reflect the quality and unique local identity of each community but also serve as a key mechanism for adding economic value and improving the quality of life of local residents.

IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, as one of Thailand’s major exhibition and convention centers, recognizes the potential of GI products to expand into real markets through its established networks and distribution channels. This helps increase marketing opportunities, generate income, and strengthen communities in the long term.

According to the latest data from the Department of Intellectual Property, Thailand currently has registered GI products in 77 provinces, totaling 252 items, such as Nakhon Nayok Marian plum, Nakhon Chai Si pomelo, Sam Phran aromatic coconut, and Kalasin Ban Phon milk jujube (data as of February 4, 2026.)
