IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. and CMC Exhibition Services Pte. Ltd., co-organizer of BMAM Expo Asia 2013 - the 6th International Exhibition and Conference on Building Maintenance & Facilities Management held in Thailand for the Asia Market and Green Building & Retrofits Expo Asia 2013 (GBR Expo Asia 2013) – the 3rd International Exhibition and Conference on Green Building & Retrofits held in Thailand for the Asia Market. Both events will take place on 19-21 September 2013 at Hall 5-6, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. The co-located events will provide the latest solutions for the green building and retrofits, facilities management and building maintenance market. KASIKORN RESEARCH CENTER reported that “The Thai construction industry saw impressive growth in 2012 with value of THB 431.3 billion going to private construction, and THB 469.63 billion to public construction, thus totaling THB927.94 billion – a gain of 12.8 percent, against 1.6 percent growth in 2011. This is attributed to reconstruction of damaged property after the severe 2011 flooding. For 2013 is being set at 10.5-12.9 percent growth, valued at THB 1,025-1,047.5 billion, as well as soaring prices for construction work with regard to real estate, in particular, within Bangkok as well as in provincial areas. Moreover the government’s 2013 large-scale project plans such as an Orange-Line MRT route (running from the Thailand Cultural Centre to Minburi) valued at THB 80 billion. We anticipate that the Thai construction industry will continue to grow.” The research reinforces the Thailand Building and Construction market and the growing trends of new and retrofit projects looking into greening their facilities. Coupled with the upcoming AEC 2015, Thailand Building & Construction Market Outlook is set to growth to an unprecedented level.

Ms. Pornphan Bulner, Asst. Director of Exhibition Project Department, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. said “Nowadays Green Building & Facilities Management are very important. We held BMAM Expo Asia 2013 and GBR Expo Asia 2013 concurrently to serve the needs of the entire Construction and Facilities Management Industry. The events will be the meeting point of facilities managers and engineering administrator of commercial and industrial facilities, developers, architects, interior designer, contractor, and most importantly, the project owner or landlords. These events will be the perfect platform to show the newest technology from around the world.”

"With global warming and the increasing cost of electricity, the hot and humid south east Asia sub tropical climate has set the facilities owners to be more concerned on their energy consumption. More facilities owners are actively seeking energy efficiency in their facilities and are looking into Green Building as the future of Thailand. IMPACT joins force with CMC to organize Green Building & Retrofits Expo Asia 2013 (GBR Expo Asia 2013) in response to the growing demand for green building technology. Mr. Steven Chwee, General Manager, CMC Exhibition Services Pte. Ltd. from Singapore, the co-organizer of BMAM Expo Asia 2013 and GBR Expo Asia 2013 said “The growing trends of Green Building in the South East Asia region is phenomenal. In 2013, almost every part of South East Asia has green building movements championing the shift to green. Singapore has made mandatory law for all new and retrofits projects to comply with Green Building certification. Malaysia has move fast since 2009. I believe Thailand will be closing the gap very soon as there are several facilities that I have been, are already green buildings. With a single and government supported green building certification, I’m sure the number of certified green building will increase exponentially.
