IMPACT partners up with WeChat to connect even closer to customers.

Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co Ltd said “with 400 million members since it launched in 2011 WeChat is fast becoming one of the social media giants to watch. We have joined hands with WeChat, to create brand awareness, to communicate directly to our customers, and to help our followers get news, updates and upcoming events at IMPACT.”  

The WeChat application was   developed by China’s largest Internet firm - Tencent with the objective of being highly competitive with other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Line, and etc. The application has many features and supports iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Symbian and Blackberry.
IMPACT now has an “Official Account” on WeChat called “IMPACT Venue”.

“Official Account” is a special feature of WeChat, that can be utilized by companies and merchants alike to build interactivity and close relationships  with their fans in a new and innovative way – whereby  IMPACT’s MICE guests can stay connected on WeChat and stay tuned to latest events and special offers.

“Our customers can share their views and also pose questions related to IMPACT Arena, Exhibition, and Convention Center through text, voice or video messages; enhancing the overall customer experience. Also our followers will be sent special discount codes and offers from participating events and exhibitions with full information on all upcoming events,” Paul added

Mr. Paul foresees the popularity of this application growing dramatically due to its convenient programme design.  “WeChat is stepping up its marketing efforts across the globe in multiple languages – including Thai across Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, and Turkey. Statistically, it gains approximately 300 million subscribers at the moment. We strongly believe this partnership with WeChat will further boost our relationship with both existing and new customers.

Both firms can benefit from mutual alliance and reach the same target goal. WeChat can gain a significant amount of subscribers from IMPACT’s MICE guests which are nearly 15 million people yearly while IMPACT can create brand awareness across the globe through WeChat app.
